Carnac
The standing stones
The standing stones of Carnac, as impressive as they are fascinating. Everything has been said about their origin, but one things is certain, no-one knows what that is.
Many buildings in the area were built with stone taken from the site in the 19th century, notably Goulphar, the main lightbouse on Belle Ile. A site not to be missed, to be visited preferably at sunrise or sunset.
